The wing, glued and handcrafted onto the bridge of the glasses, is an artisanal detail that provides significant aesthetic and functional value. This process involves manually gluing and shaping a small piece of material (usually plastic or metal) onto the bridge of the glasses to refine the corners and remove any sharp edges. Eliminating sharp edges from the bridge is essential for user comfort. By working the wing by hand, the craftsman ensures that the surface is smooth, perfectly conforming to the shape of the nose and enhancing the feel against the skin.
Hand-riveted hinges in eyewear are a design and quality feature referring to the artisanal method used to attach the hinges to the temples. Unlike machine-mounted hinges, hand-riveted hinges are a hallmark of high quality, as each fastening point is carefully crafted by skilled artisans. This process involves the use of specialized tools to "rivet" the hinges, securing them firmly through a technique that ensures high precision and enhanced durability.
Finishing is the process of joining and refining the temples with the frame, creating a seamless and smooth transition between the various components. This step is performed after the frame has been polished and smoothed, ensuring that the connection is not only functional but also aesthetically flawless. Finishing requires precision and skill, especially when done by hand. This process is a clear sign of high-quality craftsmanship. The care taken during this phase highlights the attention to detail and the overall quality of the product.
When these three techniques (laser engraving, pad printing, and hand-cleaning) are combined, the result is eyewear that merges technological precision with artisanal refinement. This combination ensures that each pair of glasses not only has an exclusive appearance but also features inscriptions and details that are flawless in every aspect, creating a high-end product that is both elegant and functional. In summary, these techniques contribute to making each piece unique, enhancing the aesthetic appeal, durability, and overall quality of the product, offering customers exclusive personalization and a level of sophistication that only artisanal craftsmanship can provide.
The non-slip laser engraving on the temple of the glasses is a treatment applied to enhance stability and comfort during daily use. This process involves using a laser to create a texture or pattern on the surface of the temple, which acts as a grip to prevent the glasses from slipping or shifting.
Our attention to detail begins with the frame's ergonomics, a meticulous study aimed at ensuring a perfect fit to the face, providing maximum comfort throughout the day. The frame's lines are designed to adapt to different facial shapes, ensuring that each pair of glasses is not only aesthetically elegant but also functional and comfortable to wear.
Each production step is carried out in-house in our laboratories. From raw materials to the finished product, over 20 artisanal processes are performed by highly specialized personnel.
The quality of the eyewear is the result of a perfect balance between design, innovation, and craftsmanship. When we talk about glasses entirely made in Italy, we are referring not only to the value of the design and frame construction but also to the components that ensure unparalleled resistance, comfort, and aesthetics. The use of all Made in Italy components at every stage of the production process is what makes our eyewear symbols of excellence and craftsmanship.
The main advantage of Italian acetate is its superior quality compared to other synthetic materials. Italian cellulose acetate is known for its intense color rendering, allowing for eyewear with rich and long-lasting hues. Furthermore, the workability of acetate enables artisans to create sophisticated designs with perfect shapes and finishes.
Solid block acetate is a solid and durable material. Being thick and compact, it tends to be more resistant to damage compared to eyewear produced using injection molding. Working with a solid block allows for the creation of a frame that is more resistant to impact and deformation, ensuring greater longevity over time.
Acetate is a natural material, and as such, it can react to changes in temperature and humidity. During processing, acetate can absorb moisture and change its consistency. Curing allows excess moisture to be removed and stabilizes the molecular structure of the material, reducing the risk of future deformation. This helps maintain the shape and structure of the frame over time.
The acetate used in unique blocks is a natural and sustainable material derived from cellulose, offering higher quality compared to synthetic polymers used in injection molding. This material is also known for its ability to maintain color and shine over time, giving the eyewear a fresh appearance. Moreover, the quality of the acetate allows for better transparency and a more intense color range compared to injected materials.
Polarized lenses with UV protection offer enhanced clarity by reducing glare from reflective surfaces, while also providing protection against harmful ultraviolet rays. Ideal for outdoor activities, they help reduce eye strain and improve visual comfort.
